In the latest instalment of our review of the National Senior Certificate exams the Teacher looks at the Economics paper which was written today.
Michael Zuma teaches economics at Little Flower Senior Secondary in KwaZulu-Natal and says the paper was everything he had been expecting.
“Overall I think the paper was very fair to the learners and it was realistic as well, ” he explained. “I spoke to a few of the learners afterwards and they also told me that they could relate to the questions as it dealt with many current issues.”
Zuma said that the learners would have been well prepared as the final paper seems to have been guided by the exemplar distributed by the department and the trial paper written in June.
“The paper was a learning curve for all of us, teachers included, but I think the department did very well in setting the questions,” he added.
