Win a Freakonomics hamper

Win A Freakonomics Hamper

The documentary Freakonomics has recently made it onto local Ster-Kinekor Cinema Nouveau screens, and, to accompany this, we are giving away five hampers, each consisting of the original book Freakonomics, on which the film is based, as well as
Superfreakonomics, the best-seller’s recent sequel.

Like the popular 2005 non-fiction book Freakonomics by ‘rogue” economist Stephen D Levitt and New York Times journalist Stephen J Dubner, which sold more than four million copies worldwide, the film is a ‘pop culture meets economics” take on a variety of topical subjects: from the socio-economic ramifications of babies being given certain names to corruption in sumo wrestling; from a controversial link between the rise in abortion rates and a drop in crime levels; to how offering financial incentives (bribes) to under-achieving school children can help improve their marks.

The competition is now closed.
