My personal favourites happen to come in red. The Luisa ADE retro-chic kitchen scale, with a dishwasherproof bowl made of brushed stainless steel, sells for R340.
The bright-red Kitchen Aid Artisan Stand Mixer is beautiful, durable and versatile and, by the look of it, will last longer than your kitchen. Priced at R6 300, you have to think of this product as an investment.
Then there’s the Kuchenprofi Atlas Marcato Pasta Maker, with a dough-roller unit for rolling and kneading, and a removable double- cutter head for tagliatelle, ravioli and fettuccine. It is available in a variety of colours including pink, blue, black, yellow and silver and retails for R1 900.
