President Robert Mugabe led a Zimbabwe Cabinet meeting on Tuesday despite a boycott by unity partner Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.
The EU is not ready to establish ties with Zimbabwe despite a ”positive evolution” in politics there, according to a letter made public on Thursday.
Morgan Tsvangirai’s party will assess progress and discuss outstanding issues hampering the unity government at its national conference this weekend.
The departure of Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe would be in ”the best interests of everyone”, Hillary Clinton said in an interview on Wednesday.
