TECHNIKON SA TO CARLTON CENTRE

TECHNIKON SA has signed up to rent space in the deserted Carlton Centre in downtown Johannesburg. The school will take over an entire floor, improving the outlook for the centre with its learner support operation. The centre is a leading indicator for the Johannesburg Central Business District, and the five-year lease negotiated with Amlease will brighten the CBD’s prospects somewhat. Amlease executive Helga Maree stressed the flexibility of the agreement, with a built-in expansion option. The technikon serves 32000 students in the Gauteng region and expects more students to use the support centre when it opens in the CBD.
