THE second of five toll gates on the multi-billion rand Maputo Development Corridor was opened on Tuesday. Trans-African Concessions (Trac) CEO Trevor Jackson said that the company has implemented a comprehensive incident management system along most of the route. He said the system integrated the services of Trac patrol vehicles, local emergency services, and protection forces. Emergency telephones had been installed every four kilometres along the route on the South African side of the border, and would be extended to Mozambique, said Jackson.
