EGYPTAIR INVESTIGATORS PATCH IT UP

EGYPTIAN and US investigators are said to be planning a joint report for release on Monday on the fateful final moments of Flight 990 as officials dismissed suggestions of a diplomatic row over the inquiry. Amid Egyptian anger over speculation an alleged statement by one of the pilots indicated he may have crashed the plane in a suicide plunge, news of the joint report pointed at an effort to bridge any rift between the two sides. Investigators are apparently working on a report on what happened in the EgyptAir cockpit during the plane’s final minutes that would be acceptable to both Egypt and the United States.
