MUSLIMS PROTEST IN CAPE TOWN

ABOUT 1000 members of the extremist Islamic group Qibla staged a peaceful protest in the streets of Cape Town on Friday, burning American, Israeli and Russian flags. Chanting “One Zionist, one bullet,” and “Death to America,” the protestors marched through the center of town first to the Russian consulate, and then to the American consulate, where they set flags alight and handed over memoranda. They demanded that Russia end its military campaign in Chechnya and that Americans stop killing Muslims in Bosnia, Iraq and Kosovo. The protest marked international Quds Day, meaning the day of the oppressed, and has become an annual event.
