GADDAFI, DEFENDER, VISITS BOY KING IN UGANDA

LIBYAN leader Muammer Gaddafi was on Sunday bestowed the highest honour of the Toro tribe of western Uganda when he attended the sixth anniversary of the coronation of a nine-year-old tribal monarch. Gaddafi, who arrived in Uganda on Saturday, was made Omujwarakondo (defender) of the Toro kingdom during celebrations to mark the sixth anniversary of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV’s coronation. The ceremony was held in King Oyo’s Karuziika Palace in the town of Fort Portal, about 400km west of Kampala. – AFP
