Sasol looks to list on the NYSE

South African oil and chemicals group Sasol (SOL) is planning to transfer its American Depository Receipt (ADR) listing on the Nasdaq to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in April 2003, Sasol corporate communications manager, Brenda Kali said on Monday.

The energy group has its primary listing on the JSE Securities Exchange

(JSE) South Africa.

Sasol has had American Depository Receipts (ADRs) listed on the NYSE and is looking to upgrade these to shares so as to improve its profile and give the group greater exposure to US investors.

Sasol listed on the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa (JSE) in 1979 and on the Nasdaq in 1982. – I-Net Bridge
