Motorcycle Lifestyle Expo coming up

Next weekend, 24 – 25 April, sees the fifth annual Motorcycle Lifestyle Expo at Kyalami, now sponsored by Mecer, with all the locally available motorcycle and quad brands on show for biking nuts to salivate over. There’ll be displays of trick riding and Extreme Jumping, and the Harley Davidson and Triumph clubs will be putting on mass rides of their gleaming machines. As in previous years the entrance fee will be a very reasonable R20 per person (free for under 12s) and the gates open from 9am to 6pm.

Most manufacturers will have a selection of their finest machines available for test rides around the famous racetrack, but those who wish to play at being Rossi will have to first produce a valid driver’s licence. Those who can’t meet that requirement can hitch a ride with one of the experienced track-day instructors who’ll be available all weekend – with them, passengers will probably find themselves getting around the track quicker than their licensed friends do on their own anyway.
