Junior platinum-mining company African Platinum (Afplats) on Monday announced that it was withdrawing its application for a secondary listing on the American Stock Exchange (Amex).
Afplats is already listed on London’s Alternative Stock Exchange or AIM.
“In conjunction with its advisers, the company will continue to review possible overseas listing and related opportunities to complement the existing London quotation,” the company said.
Afplats also announced that with immediate effect it had appointed JP Morgan Cazenove as its nominated adviser.
“Following the recent release of the Leeuwkop project feasibility study and the increasingly tangible nature of the company’s operations, we have reached a stage where the board feels that the time has come for the company to move its corporate affairs to JP Morgan Cazenove,” Afplats CEO Roy Pitchford said. — I-Net Bridge
