Magazine publishers Ramsay, Son & Parker have bought 50 percent of Leisure Wheels.
The publication joins RS&P’s two other motoring titles CAR, and Wiel (initially announced as La’t Wiel), due to be launched in September.
The company says the addition of Leisure Wheels will give it dominance across a broad range of motoring content.
‘We believe there is considerable potential in this particular market and we intend to develop the synergies between Leisure Wheels and both CAR and Getaway,” said RS&P’s managing director, Harold Eedes.
This follows a recent announcement by Media24 that it has bought Topcar and will be introducing British magazine MaxPower.
It is also rumoured there’s a competitor to Auto Trader on the cards.
Ramsay, Son & Parker says Leisure Wheels will continue to be produced by Randburg-based team Jannie Herbst and Johann van Loggerenberg.
