A high court application has been bought against the Mail & Guardian by Maanda Manyatshe, the former chief executive officer of the South African Post Office and current chief executive of MTN South Africa.
Manyatshe and his attorney Barry Aaron are asking the Johannesburg High Court to grant an urgent interdict preventing the M&G from publishing a story on Friday.
The M&G is contesting the application.
The application was expected to be heard in the Johannesburg High Court at 2pm on Thursday by Judge Mohammed Jajbhay.
