Carlo Scott scored a brace to place Bloemfontein Celtic in fourth place in the Castle Premiership log table when they beat Amazulu 3-1 in their own kraal at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The first goal was scored in the second minute by Benedict Chenene. But although Amazulu started well after they had gone down to Orlando Pirates on Wednesday night, Celtic showed their character as they came away with a convincing win over Kaizer Chiefs.
Scott scored the equaliser in the 11th minute to level the score. And the striker added another excellent goal from a pass by Lebogang Kukame after outrunning Amazulu defender Kasonga Bukasa and bringing the score to 2-1 at halftime.
In the second half, Celtic dominated play and Ntokozo Sikhakhane did not show any mercy to the home team. The third goal for Celtic was scored in the 54th minute after a good cross from Sikhakhane, which gave Kukame a free header. – Sapa
