snapp is an exclusive lifestyle brand concerned with redefining products where form and function fuse to enhance everyday life. Jonathan Fundudis and Renko Nieman, an industrial designer and mechanical engineer respectively, aspired to developing a distinctive product brand as an offspring of their 10 year-old industrial design consultancy. Their intention has been to showcase simple but beautiful, useful products to both the local and international markets. Their products are made with a blend of modern technology and artisanal craftsmanship using innovative materials. snapp will launch its Inception Collection at the Design Indaba 2010.
This is snapp’s first exhibit at Design Indaba Expo and their work announces the potential of South African design in its endeavour to move beyond a craft-based design tradition. Combining true blue industrial design with advanced materials, snapp predicts a future for mass produced design in South Africa.
