Botswana To Market Itself As A 'not Uninteresting' Destination

Discarding its old slogan: "We're sort of in the middle of the southern bit" and replacing it with "Botswana: it's not uninteresting".

According to a spokesman, many exciting slogans were suggested, including 'We've got elephants but they're much harder to see in the wild than in zoos" and "If you hate going to the beach, you'll hate coming to Botswana slightly less".

But, he said, the winning slogan had managed to combine "the beige colour of Botswana's landscape with the beige colour of Botswana's global reputation".
