Monitoring and evaluation for impact

Monitoring And Evaluation For Impact

The increase of socioeconomic challenges in development demand effective and sustainable solutions, but solving developmental problems can be complex. It is therefore imperative to be able to measure the impact of development projects and programmes, as well as to be able to identify areas for improvement, so that these issues may be effectively addressed.

On May 23, the day before the Trialogue CSI Conference, Zenex Foundation will present a workshop exploring how systematic monitoring and evaluation strategies and implementation plans can help to highlight what does and does not work in various development contexts. It also examines how individual and collective understandings of processes, outcomes and impact can be improved.

This workshop will include a combination of presentations and case studies, and is targeted at corporate and private donors, as well as non-profit organisations.

Participants will:

  • gain an understanding of the importance of monitoring and evaluation in development projects/programmes;
  • be able to differentiate between monitoring and evaluation and the roles of different stakeholders;
  • be exposed to the different types of evaluation designs; and
  • be exposed to theory of change and logic model development required in effective evaluation processes.
