Adams’s spin sinks EP

TUESDAY, 11.30AM:

PAUL Adams showed he is still in good form when he destroyed the Eastern Province batting with a haul of six wickets for 90 runs to help Western Province achieve a 123-run Supersport Series victory at Newlands on Monday.

Adams’ figures would have been even more impressive, career best in fact, had ‘keeper Paul Kirsten not missed a stumping chance on last man Mornantau Hayward.

His career best remains the 6/55 he took in the Test against India in Kampur last season. This was the sixth time he took five or more wickets in an innings.

Western Province play Griquas at Newlands from Friday.
