Four Boks for Province

OWN CORRESPONDENT, Johannesburg | Wednesday 10.30AM.

WESTERN Province will field a full-strength squad, including Springboks Bobby Skinstad, Andrew Aitken, Selborne Boome and Chester Williams, when they face Eastern Province in a Currie Cup match in Cape Town on Saturday.

Coach Alan Solomons also makes his return to Newlands after assisting Nick Mallett with the Springboks in Australia and New Zealand.

Border, who play Northern Free State in Welkom on Saturday, have also made their share of changes ahead of the match. Glen Gelderbloom returns to centre, in place of Ryan Pickering, while David Maidza loses his place on the wing to Dale Heidtmann. Graham Carlson steps into the number eight position and Ryan van der Linde is the new loosehead prop.

North-West have also rung the changes for their match against Griquas in Kimberley. AC Prinsloo moves to the wing from fullback, while Melt Baartman also gets the axe. Thys de Beer returns to lock in the place of Baartman. David Gerson takes the place of Steve van Wyk at loosehead prop, and Pieter van Vuuren will play flyhalf in the place of Stefan Snyders.
